On February 15, 2007 at 6pm Grace Katherine was born weighing in at 7lbs 12oz and 20 3/4" long. The labor went smoothly, it was fast and pain free thanks to the blessed epidural. Daddy and Grandma were both present for the delivery and later that night Auntie Linda and Bubba Ben drove up from LA to pay a visit. Family was in town for about a week to help out with the newest addition and to try to get as much Gracie time as possible.
Gracie is now 15 days old and has had a few adventures. She pooped in her bath earlier this week just as we were wrapping up. We had just poured the last bit of water over her head to wash out the shampoo when we noticed her floaties in the water. It would have been far grosser is she wasn't our child, however we just laughed and laughed and finished washing her in the sink. Daddy got to wash out her baby tub as I fed her later, sometimes the upsides of motherhood show themselves in mysterious ways.
Gracie also went on her first shopping trip today, has been sleeping about 4 hours a night, and smiles a ton now. More is to come as all unfolds and more photos should be accompanying the blogs as well.
